Hi,

Not sure if anyone can help with this but I am having an issue but only in the evenings when I sit down and relax.

I have been having 'jerks' over the past two years now. My leg bends and kicks out and my arm also punches in the air, and my head shakes side to side...then stops ...and happens again.

I did go to see a neurologist who said I have a weakness on my right side but it is within normal range.

I have noticed the jerks have got worse - and am now quite embarrassed by them - especially if have company.

The thing is they only seem to happen at home, when I sit and relax on my sofa around 8.30 onwards - if I go to bed and lie down they stop.

Any ideas - I know it sounds really silly.

Wanted to add its almost like all my muscles are tightening up and I have to jerk to stop it.🙂

Nope - not when falling asleep - I do get the falling feeling when sleeping every now and then but would say no more than the average person.

This is more like the body contorts and muscles go tight and I lash out and shake my head for a few seconds, then feel agitated after whilst the muscles relax again. If anyone got in my way it would hurt!!

Hope your nose is okay.🙂

Sounds like you are getting tired as it only happens in the evening. I find having something to do helps (knitting, crochet, cross words for example)

Is it a particular chair or sofa? Could it be the height is pressing on something?

Hope someone can come up with a sensible answer for you.
