I thought it was time someone started a thread so we could mention excellent clinical help from the professionals.
There seems to be to many moans and groans about some of our treatment.

Therefore i would like to mention all the staff at Derriford Hospital's Diabetic Clinic, their professional help and immediate assistance is second to none.
Nothing is too difficult or a pain. If they dont know the answer they know someone who does.

3 cheers they get my vote.

Keep up the good work...😱

Uclh

I agree

I would like to extend my utmost thanks to the whole paediatric team at UCLH (University College London Hospital), it is one of the best in the country with the team of fabulous nurses and the most brilliant Prof Hindmarsh. They have loads of children on pumps and others standing by, their care before, during and after pumping is second to none and lots of families are coming out of area just to be under them.

:D:D:D

Shaun I have praised both my GP and the hospital team since I started posting on this board.
I repeat this praise

Thank You

I would like to say a big thank you to Lisle at the Elsie Bertram Clinic at the Norwich & Norfolk, she has been amazing and as for the team who are on call you have been great too, don't know what i'd have done without all their help :D

You are right Shaun, It's a shame that we have so many moans about our care, it's good to recognise the good.My DSN Amanda at OCDEM is great so thankyou to her.

Rita at Southampton General did a terrific job of setting me off on the right path, and the team at Royal South Hants have done a great job both educating me and listening to me!🙂

Hi to you all!

I am under the care of Basildon and Orsett Hospitals in Essex. I cannot fault the care that I have been given. Dr Choo Kang has such an interest in pumps, and is so enthusiatic with his pump patients. Bonnie my Diabetic Sister is a friend, and is there for input and problems. I cannot thank them enough for all the help I have been given over the years, and especially the last 13 months or si since being on the pump.

yeah me too! my gp didnt have a clue (supposed to be a diabetic specialist) and so at the end of his tether passed me over to Dr Coates at Stafford Hospital, who has changed my life! He sat and listened to me for over and hour! Gave me his email address to i could email him anytime with questions. then he put me forward for a pump, Gill Green my DSN has looked after me so well and gave me her mobile to again she is just the other end of the phone! even when she was ill with flu she gave me comfort and advice. They've walked me through the whole pump process and given me my life back

I saw a great dietician on Monday that was so helpful in South Birmingham.

I would actually like to thank all of you on here for helping me in the early stages of diagnosis as I would have been absolutely clueless and lost without your help.

I'd second that, I've had so much support from everyone there, particularly with reference to doing the dafne course and beyond.

After being thoroughly underwhelmed by 2 local hospitals I found the Jeffrey Kelson Centre at Central Middlesex Hospital. Amazing staff and amazing care! Well worth travelling the extra distance!
