Diabetes - free to a good home!

Me & my little boy (yes my diabetes is a boy) aren't getting on.

He keeps giving me hypos in my sleep & this morning another one 4 hours after the last 😡

My novo has been cut back & so has my glargine.

I know I'm stressed but I can't see it being that.

So my naughty little boy (the diabetes) is free to a good home

Any takers?

It could work but he has to room share, he doesn't like sleeping on his own (probably why he wakes me up!)

And I wouldn?t mind if you left for a while ?

I hope you don't think that I'm rude!

There ought to be somewhere to send you,
Like the kennels where you might send a pet?
Yes, a kennel for chronic diseases!
But I don?t think there are any yet?

I?m sure if there were they?d make money,
For I know many others would pay
To leave you in the care of another,
Though we might not return straight away?!

I imagine, in the future it will happen
When diseases will all be retired,
They?ll live out their days sat on petri dish trays
Till the very last one has expired!

I tried that but sometimes forgot to take the morning dose so went back 1 injection

I'm praying for no more hypos today

Dot (my diabetes companion) is up for adoption too... now 18 so quite capable of being independent and a typical stroppy teenager for no reason at all 😉 And if you don't want to adopt then just fostering for just a few weeks would be good!

On a serious note, I hope your hypos behave themselves today Laura - I'm the opposite, can't get my sugars down for love nor insulin!!

Had another hypo at lunch so he's been sent to his room with no chance of being let out to play in the next month (I should call him a name but I dunno what)

Are you sure the diabetes is the problem and not you?? if it is male, are you nagging it?? has it got at least two sheds?? have you brought it a motorbike?? can it watch Dave or the Discovery chanel at will?

he's 10, he's not allowed a driving licence yet.
no to a shed but he's got toys - i'm even going to buy him a dragon when i get my pump.
no he watches tv & films, some are films above his age group
and the only nagging is when he gives me hypos

i on the other hand am the perfect woman!

Laura, You have to call him Bob because that is just the perfect name for everything 😉 My fave plant is called Bob, my latest tooth fairy pillow is also called Bob (I make and sell them so it's not for me just yet!!)
