The reason I don't do overtime....I like my lie ins and time off. The money comes in handy but life's too short to spend your free time in wok. 🙂

My company won't actually pay week-day overtime - therefore I won't do it.

Yeah, that's pretty evil. My father used to do 13 days in every 14 for a while (bank holidays too). It gets very wearing if you do it for more then a couple of years.

The company can get round it as long as the average worked out over 3 months is below the working time directive. That's why there are still so many knackered junior doctors!
