Does anybody have an aim or goal in mind that they want to achieve with diabetes, where the big D could make it that little bit more difficult?
Could be anything, running a marathon (As I know a few of you have already done!!) climbing a mountain, or something more spiritual or a life milestone.
After the early part of last year where I was convinced I was in for an early retirement.. Mine was to have my own children and see them grow to a non dependable age. Well now thats happening! and I feel well and truly in control of my D, and my life. It will now be to see grandchildren to a decent age.. Sounds not that big a deal, but after having diabetes since aged 8, Children at 30 ish, Grandchildren lets say between 55 & 60, Potentially that would be 50 years with diabeties and a medal round my neck.
So Grandchildren is mine - Anyone else?
