Home butternut squash and coconut soup🙂

Sounds lovely! 🙂 I've had a banana sandwich and a yoghurt! 🙂 Yes, I know, mostly carbs 😱

oh that sounds fab! I've see a recipe somewhere (can't remeber; there's a reason I'm called dory) for spiced butternut squash soup - that sounds lovely too.

I'm having some leftover homemade chicken korma (slimming world recipe) and cauli rice at my office desk. Stuffed now!

maybe, but it IS a banana sandwich, and they are one of te best things to grace this planet, so it's allowed.

Do you sprinkle cinnamon over the bananas? Should try it if not 🙂

Never tried it, will give it a go 🙂 Interestingly, the banana seems to make no difference to my insulin requirements. I can have two boiled eggs, two slices of Burgen bread and a yoghurt and my insulin will be the same as if I have a banana instead of the eggs. If I carb-counted the different meals I'd be hypoing on the banana! 😱

how weird re the eggs v banana! (i still know which i'd back in a contest 🙂

cinnamon on the banana just adds a bit of ooomph! 🙂

Having said that, I've just had a hypo at 2.8! Despite having less insulin and more carbs today than yesterday 🙄 Diabetes, eh?

that's diabetes down to a T really isn't it. hope you're back up now though.

I am having the symptoms of a hypo without actually being hypo, it's been going on most of the afternoon thus far. really not pleasant!😡

Mine was very boring, 2 slices of Burgen bread with ham. Friggen diet and diabeties :(

Do you really need a recipe for soup? I usually make it up as I go along. For spicy butternut, I'd boil the squash, garlic and an onion in stock, liquidise and then add curry powder or paste and chilli to taste. Simples (said in meerkat voice).

I had my main meal at lunchtime. Roast chicken, sweet potato mash and a mix of green veg. Tea was wholegrain toast with grilled garlic mushrooms.
