I'm at the end of the box now but I've had two instances (one a couple of weeks ago and another last night) where I've done an air shot and....no insulin came out! Did a second air shot and the dial on the pen would not move. I then put a new needle on my pen, did the air shot and insulin came out.

Any comments welcomed.

Gill 🙂

Mine are 5mm and I've only ever had one dud in the last 18 months.

it does show the value of airshots that were discussed recently 🙂

I was doing my BI with the faulty needle last night. Imagine the levels I'd have got today if I hadn't done the air shot!

Did you check the inside part of the needle? Could it have bent at a 90 degree angle and therefore not penetrate the end of the cartridge? Just a though. Or could there have been an air bubble in the cartridge? Which is exactly WHY we were told to always do an airshot?
