Hi I'm a newbie to this site and also a newbie to my 4 yr old daughter who's just been diagnosed 4weeks ago.
Looking for any parents out there in the same boat, Katie has adjusted so well that I feel silly as I'm still finding myself thinking its all a bad dream. 😱
We are still getting hypos on a regular basis but this week she has had too days off calm n control. Not sure how long it will be this way got my fingers crossed for her/us.

Hi Suzanne, welcome to the forum 🙂 Sorry to hear about your daughter's diagnosis, but it is good to hear that she seems to be coping well. I would suggest having a read of Adrienne's essential guide for parents of newly diagnosed children to give you some idea of what you may expect. Also, there are a lot of useful links here, in particular the book Type 1 Diabetes in Children, Adolescents and Young People by Ragnar Hanas which is excellent 🙂

What insulin is she on?
