I had the flu jab on Monday. I don't know if it is coincidence but since then I am needing loads more humalog. E.g 12 units to bring me down from 26 and today one unit only brought my 8.9 down to 8.1. Usually one unit of humalog brings me down by three. Very strange and frustrating.

It may well be a co incidence. I think we all worry a little about having injections so that mya have contributed. I hope you are feeling OK

I've had higher levels in the days following my flu jab Amanda, needing more insulin than usual. It lasted about 4-5 days. Hope you're back to normal soon! 🙂

Thanks Alan not glad that you've also needed more insulin but glad that I'm not the only one🙂

My blood glucose shot up to 19 after the jab this year which doesn't usually happen to me. I got away with it just being high that day though. Hope yours soon settles Amanda.

Thank you Caroline and Flutterby 🙂

I wonder what is in it this year ! My daughter had hers on Wednesday, fine yesterday but shot up overnight last night, on temp basal today as a result. Hopefully won't be for long 🙄

Got mine this morning, and have been highish ever since.
Had risen to 14.8 before dinner (about 5 hours after the flu jab) and had risen to 20.1 a couple of hours later even with my correction dose.
Hopefully it will be lower later as I took more correction then.

Eek! It's clearly not all in our minds then! Hope things settle down for you soon 🙂
