Don't need an electric blanket, as I have either a very warm, heat emitting partner or a very warm, small cat - or both, which isn't so good, as everyone tends to end up fighting over quilt and getting kicked at various times.

I've lived amongst soft southerners for 16 years! 😱 Actually, I used to be fine until I was diagnosed when suddenly I found I couldn't stand the cold. Not sure if that was because I lost so much weight (down to BMI 17) butwas freezing even throughout the summer that year. It's gradually got better but the past 12 months have been almost unremittingly poor temperatures apart from the odd week.

Don't forget, electric blankets are NOT a good idea for those with impaired pain detection ie. people with poorly controlled diabetes and neuropathy....

Before i was put on asprin & younger i used to spend half my life in the north sea (windsurfing,jetski & catamaran). Now wouldnt thank you. Heating went on this week 😱 Must be getting OLD 😱

I used to go fell running in the Peak District in shorts and T-shirt with snow all around and passing bunches of walkers in their thermals, coats, hats, scarves and gloves - 'twas most amusing! 🙂 Couldn't do it now though!

Haven't go a leccie blanket...

Mind you with a memory foam mattress, don't really need one find that it doesn't get cold as such..

But if push comes to it, I do have a old fashioned hot water bottle much to hubbies disgust.... Just got to remember to away from pump and tubing

I have blankets, extra clothes to weaar in bed and bed socks all handy and an 8 year olf that would make tropical places feel cold...

My OH is always too warm, so he'd hate an electric blanket!!

I used to love mine at home years ago, so toasty and warm!

I have our heating on a lot already, it's sooooo cold some mornings here, further north in Scotland there's already a lot of snow!

We have hot water bottles too, which I do like at times alongside my very fetching totes toasties bedsocks!

I too am ALWAYS cold (it's a running joke in my office at work, I have 2 heaters near my desk in winter!) and have often wondered about it, am going to be asking about more thyroid testing soon actually.

I use a summer weight quilt all year round and don't seem to feel cold in bed. Always sleep with the window open too unless there is a gale force wind.

I have 27 tog of quilts under me and 31.5 tog over me, so I'm toasty. 🙂 Mind you, when I first got this bed I made the mistake of only having an overquilt, so was cold in bed; shortly after, my former overquilt got relegated to underquilt and I got a new overquilt. 🙂

Our electric underblanket has been getting turned on low for a few minutes on most nights for a few weeks 😱

My blanket has 2 zones so I have mine on and the oh doesn't (wears socks).
P.S. been using it for a few years now and doesn't seem to bother the memory foam topper!
