Yes, what happened is that I was copying pictures from the other thread and the first one came up twice so I deleted one of them. Problem was that it had become the first in the thread so vbulletin decided to delete the whole thread! 😱 Fortunately, I still had the thread in my cache so had to copy the photos to my PB account and repost the thread 🙄

Yes, vBulletin does have the known problem that deleting the first post deletes the entire thread. For that reason, some forums I've seen which allow users to delete their own posts don't allow deletion of the first post in a thread.

I think this is also a bug in vBulletin; it should allow deleted posts/threads to be undeleted in case of mistakes, as does BBPress and MediaWiki amongst others. (But vBulletin is vastly superior to BBPress in every other way, so this is not a recommendation.)
