Hi Everyone

Had a bit of a high morning reading this morning of 10 :(

Was at a wedding yesterday and although I watched my carb intake all day I did slip a little and ate most of a small lemon tart with cream at the wedding breakfast 😱
Still that was about 5.30 pm and I was very careful the rest of the evening and so was hoping to be back around the 7 mark by morning.

However, I am experiencing some nasty hayfever at the moment. I'm stuffed up like I have a head cold. So, my question is can allergies push my bs up or am i still trying to burn off that lemon tart?!

Also feeling broody today as have a lovely pic from yesterday of my husband holding his baby cousin. sooo cute!:D

More than likely the allergies Megan. Do you take anything for the hayfever? I believe some medications can raise BG levels.

No, I haven't taken anything yet for that reason. But I feel rotten and wondered if just the allergy even without medication could cause a higher reading?

I think it's very likely as it will be stressing your body and stress tends to cause elevated blood sugar levels as the stress hormones cause the liver to release more glucose into the bloodstream. I guess you are one of the people hoping this 'summer' is short-lived!

NOOO! I love the sun. You don't happen to know antihistamines that won't affect my bs though do you? 🙂

good plan. will do after work
