After reading queenbee01's inspirational post about "love your diabetes" I have been prodded into action, it spoke directly to me and made me realise that I have been in serious denial and only I can do something about it. It was the final kick up the a*** that I needed after my Doc put me on metformin after I let myself go and lost the diet and exercise battle.
I have been so wrapped up in myself and my problems, I have let friendships made in this forum lapse. The help and advice given to me by those same people was, after a while, due to my stupidity, ignored. I apologise unreservedly and ask for their tolerance and understanding. Alan, with all your useful advice and information, Steffi always a shoulder to, if not cry on, would listen and let you get it off of your chest. Plus, everyone else who offered help in any shape or form.
I am Very Sorry Guys! 😱

Good to see you back Jimbo.

Hey Jimbo

Show me a diabetic who says they have never ever fallen off the wagon, and I'll show you a liar. We all do it from time to time. Even fall completely in the river sometimes. (De (river) Nile)

At the end of the day, if we need help and ask for help - people will almost invariably give it.

It's then up to us, to do what we need to do with it!

I was crawling along the bottom of the river bed, in fact I was buried in the mud I was so deep in De Nile. From time, to time, would be almost acceptable but nearly a year and a half? No, didn't think so. I needed an epiphany and got it in the shape of queenbee01's post.

😛And embarrassingly on that note I will say good night and see you all in a week as, I am going on my holidays, no computer access as far as I know but, if there is wi-fi I may be able to post from my iPod. See you later! 😛

Hi Jimbo, good to see you back - I have missed you.
Have a lovely holiday and look forward to your posts when you get back.🙂

Back from holiday

Hi Guys and Gals, I'm now back from my holi-bag. Bad news is, there was no internet or free wi-fi where I was, hence the reason I fell of the posting wagon for a week, well six days. We came back early due to the horrendous weather the last two days but, hey ho, you just get on with it, don't you?
The good news is, the weather was good for the first three days and we all had a great time none the less, as there was plenty to do.

Hi Jimbo, sorry to hear about the weather forcing you back early, but glad to hear you had a good time nonetheless 🙂 We missed you at the Glasgow Meet this year - hope to see you next year 🙂

Glad you had fun...any holiday is a good thing 🙂...good news is that next week weather should be looking good < fingers cross >

Yes, that would be just about par for the course, I'm back at work and the good weather starts again. (I'm sure someone up there doesn't like me) 😛
