Hi everyone, not sure if I can do this or not but I hope so 🙂
I had a lovely lady who runs her own cake business ask me to trial out her diabetic cupcakes, she already does dairy and egg free cupcakes and now diabetic :D
Each cupcake with buttercream frosting on has 16.9 carbs
And they taste a amazing, so much nicer than all the times I have tried using recipes I have found online
Think we all deserve a little treat every now and then
Shes based in Kent but she can post them to you :D

Please PM for website link 🙂

Hi Zoey, we don't allow advertising, but people can send you a private message if they would like the link (sorry, had to remove it :(). What makes them 'diabetic' cupcakes as opposed to ordinary ones - what special ingredients are substituted?

17g is hardly what I'd call 'low carb'. Low carb has to be under 10g per one as far as I'm concerned.

There are plenty of 'normal' things around 20g each - Tesco's coconut macaroons for instance.

Or a normal fresh cream chocolate eclair, the 5 in a packet ones from most supermarkets are about 12g each from memory.

What is all this hype about giant (and often, luridly coloured -) glorified versions of the butterly cakes mothers used to make? Far too much fuss about a bit of very ordinary sponge cake ......

Do you know how much a normal cupcake has, just out of interest?
