Good report by Dom Littlewood on the One Show - anyone see it? It was about Type 1 in kids (no doubt they'll talk about Type 2 on the Two Show!
)

I'll check it out on iplayer later.

Yep, watched it! Was good. Although the sofa chat did make it sound like controlling diabetes was a doddle! 😛
Yes, I think she was trying to stress how it could be treated, but it did seem to come across as 'Oh, yes, no problem!' As we've said before, it's a difficult balance between stressing how dangerous the condition can be, and not scaring people too much.
I was a little perturbed the way the doctor on the sofa said, as her final words 'You'll be blind by the time you're 30' and then broke into a huge grin!
(She had just been talking about the importance of looking after your control during your teens)
about her arms... get help!

I remember being told that by a consultant once, not the most encouraging of things to hear!
I caught some of it but the room was quite noisy at the time so going to catch up on iplayer, looked to be a pretty good piece though.
lol sorry! It was when I wasn't really looking after myself, think it was an ill thought out attempt at 'tough love'! Kind of worked though, my motivation for good control is often 'to prove that doctor wrong'!
