Why can't something go right

I only last went to the opticians in October when my prescription had changed again.

But I made an urgent appointment today because my reading sight had got worse over the past two days.
Left the opticians having found out that my sight had deteriorated in my good eye - worse that it was in October - so yet more computer/reading glasses - and the vision in my bad eye is now only 6/60...........to make it all worse the pressure in my eyes is now back to what it was before all of the glaucoma surgeries........which indicates that when I go to the hospital in May there is a good chance that I will be told htat I need more surgery....please ignore my ranting.....not sure how I'm meant to focus on revising for Monday's exam

Oh Amanda life is SO horrible for you right now, please don't apologise, I wish I could come and give you a great big flipping enormus gigantic hug((((((((((((((( AMANDA)))))))))))). Sheena and Alan thank you so much for your lovely messages and hugs. They mean a lot to me. I've spent the afternoon feeling sorry for myself which won't help with the exam. I'm now pulling myself together, going to pour a small glass of wine, curl up on the settee and read through my revision notes for an hour before OH comes home. I was going to cacnel the exam but I will do it - but have decided that if I fail life is too short to do a re-take. I'm going to focus on being kind to myself instead of trying to push myself to do things all the time. I will need my health and strength if I am going to go through more glaucoma surgery.

Aaawww thank you for asking, pain after eating today, but not like Sunday's. Sometimes, I bet alot of people would wish life was a great big duvet 🙂 Plus I don't work today, yipppppeeeeeeeee

Aww Amanda, I've just read this and am so so sorry to hear of the latest eye problems. Life is absolutely totally unfair to you and I feel like stamping my feet and getting all hot and bothered (but I wont!) I am not surprised that you are scared about your eyesight, any of us would be. I don't really have any words of wisdom (unlike me I know!!) but I do send love and hugs and wish you well with the exam. Love karen.x

I know its not easy but try and motivate yourself to do lots before May and you never know it may not be as bad then. LIfe does seem very unfair sometimes. I think your attitude towards your exam is spot on - but I am crossing everything for you anyway. Take care.🙂

Thank you Karen and Lucy - it's really nice to have your thoughts and hugs with me. I was very good today and only spent 15 minutes lookng at the options for glaucoma surgery but decided that it was making me too fed up - instead I'm going to focus on living life. I've been very, very naughty today and treated myself to some of my most favourite spa products - I thought that the eye news was a good excuse to indulge in retail therapy. I know that I should be sensible and not use my credit card in case the eyes reach the stage that I can't work - but what the heck - although I really shouldn't have bought champagne yesterday😱 But I've now going to have a glass of bubbly and a nice hot bath. One life, live it. I hope everyone has a great weekend Amanda xx
