When will I ever learn? 😱 Especially given that I was mowing the lawn for the first time in about four months with a manual lawnmower! Only a 3.3 but it did take me by surprise!

Gardening has the same effect on me. I tend to get carried away and not eat until I get the tell-tale signs. Strangely, I had a 3.3 today as well!

Yes definitely! Will be reducing basal in the morning as I plan to cut lawns, first time this year as well. At least I'll be using an electric hover mower.

I went out in the garden, I only turned the soil over in my mind and I got a 3.5 this afternoon.

Now then - Lay down in a darkened room, having taken the little blue pills - don't over-work yourself, John. :D

Have you lubricated, sharpened and cleaned the mower? It can make a world of difference in the amount of effort required.

doesnt seem to matter how much i alter my insulin or increase food intake etc i always have a hypo mowing the lawn my garden (if you can call it that) is only small but it is a steep slope and it always does me in.... i need to recruit someone to do it for me 🙂

The main problem I have is that my 'lawn' is very uneven in many ways, both in topography and grass content. In some places the grass is very thick and relatively long, in others it is basically moss with a few strands of grass poking through where the mower sinks into the ground and keeps getting clumps stuck in it. Needs re-turfing/reseeding really! 🙂

Who would have thought that something you tend to do to relax, can have such an impact!
One of the few (possibly only) sensible things that Ronald Reagan said was, " They say hard work never killed anybody, but I'm not taking any chances".
Kelly.
