I seem to have finally got my name going round a little. At the moment Tia's healthy treats is a NON-PROFIT hobby that i am doing so i can build my portfolio and ratings.

AND good news to a lot of people i am going to be doing LOW-CARB recipes.

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE - 3g CARBS!!!
LOW CARB MUFFINS - 1.5g cARBS PER MUFFIN!!!
SUGAR FREE COCONUT MACAROONS - 1g CARBS
CHOCOLATE COCONUT COOKIES - 1/2g CARBS
LOW CARB PEANUT BUTTER CUPS - 2.5g CARBS

I am currently looking into how to change the low carb muffins into a yummy birthday cake. If anyone is interested please pm me :D Orders may take up to a week depending on if i have to order in anything special.

They all sound scrumdiddlyumptious....................:D

mmmm, so how much is postage :D

What are you using as sweetner? 🙂

I'm afraid I do have to point out that we don't allow advertising on the forum, so members will need to be able to find out details elsewhere. For a non-profit venture like this I would be happy to allow a link to a website in the 'Links' section.

cant stand cocunut or peanut butter so im out but would of loved to have helped you with this :D

Wow. Best of luck with it.🙂

How do you get the carbs so low ?

Rob

I don't want to put a dampner on things - but you need to talk to a small business adviser so as to make sure you don't fall foul or any tax or other legal considerations. Even if you plan on being non-profit that normally means a charity and the inland revenue might have other ideas.

Hi thanks Margie i understand about all that and i am not trying to evade any tax, i'm not making any money from what i am making, i am not even making any for charity (yet) all i am doing is charging the cost of the ingredients, and providing a copy of the receipt from the shop to show nothing more that the cost of the ingredients have been paid for.

The main ingredient for a few of them is something called Xylitol i used TotalSweet from Hollands and Barrats i like to avoid sweeteners that contain Aspartame.

Anyone wanting prices or any more information is more than welcome to pm me.

Is there not any flour in any of the recipes ?

I can understand a couple of them wouldn't have much other than sugar normally, but the muffins must use flour or some substitute.

Hey i'd be using Almond flour 🙂

Wow. I've heard of almond flour but have no experience of it.

I'm just amazed that it's so low carb. Good luck with it all.🙂

Sainsbury's sell almond flour too - it's in the baking aisle. My wife has baked a few macaroons for me before using almond flour, it is nice and the almond flour itself seems a bit sweeter then ordinary flour so you need less sugar.

A word of caution, xylotol is a sugar alcohol and although it is less carbs then sugar or other sweeteners, sugar alcohols make good laxatives in suitable quantities. I've not had that problem with them yet, but I can limit myself to one or two items containing it (it's in my sugar free throat sweets). But someone who started scoffing quite a few cakes because they thought they were only 1g Carb a piece might get a surprise! 😱

I wish you all the best with your endevour 🙂

i had never heard of almond flour? is it widely available

It's known as ground almonds 🙂 All super markets sell it as do health food shops.

Thank you Mark T for the advice, Luckily the product batch does not contain a lot of the sweetener, i think the sweetness is made up for else where :D
