.. and what was the point in using a chocolate bar that is not commercially available to the public??????????

...perhaps the study was sponsored by the Choc manufacturer, and it was their way of testing a new product?

Bit pointless otherwise - would be similar performing a study to see if living at zero gravity helped prevent heart problems:D:confused:

I guess they didn't want to be seen marketing a particular brand.

Maybe they are hoping that several manufacturers will try and formulate something that aligns with their experimental bar.

Berries, dark chocolate and red wine may help reduce the risk of heart disease among women with type 2 diabetes

This is great news because I have a berry smoothie for breakfast every morning. Occasionally have a flapjack with dark chocolate on top, just need to work on the red wine now.

I haven't been drinking much but going home this weekend so maybe I'll have red wine instead of lager 😉

oh damn, just read properly and it's type 2 diabetes :( ruins my plans :D

I think we should experiement to see if it also works for T1's. In fact as long as I can still eat Green & Black's and don't need special chocolate, I've already been taking part in this experiment for years anyway.

And it is true anyway, because I haven't had a heart attack!

What does placebo chocolate taste like? and placebo berries?

Come on - we want you to not have chocolate for 12 months, who are they kidding.

Haha - Love it :D:D
