WOW!!

My HB1AC was 9.6% in August.

Just had my DSN ring me specially to let me know the result, already back from my blood test done yesterday, it was......6.8%! :D
I don't know how because my bs results at home are always all over the place!

That's a fantastic result, Gill. Really well done. :D

I'm soon going to have my first test since diagnosis - hope I can achieve that sort of improvement (especially as I have further to go)!
 
Well done - you'd expect a dramatic improvement for a T1* - though that's very dramatic! Congratulations.

*because it's onset is usually relatively sudden and the A1c result is skewed to the last weeks pre blood test, therefore by the time you get diagnosed you are usually in dire trouble. Plus, insulin is instantly efficacious etc.

Beware of lots of hypos. They will bring the Hb down dramatically.
