Anyone tried the new range of Ryvita Minis as a treat.... 114 calories per pack; 0.6g sugar; 2.3 fat; 0.3 saturated; 0.30g salt....

Yes tryed the chilli ones and the onion ones disliked both so wont try then again.

I wanted to try something as an alternative to crisps which I haven't had for over 6 months...had an urge to buy a bag of Wotsits today but didn't keep into temptation....:(

Sugar is low, but what is the carb content?
According to the web site, it's 23g Carb per bag.

Which means the Ryvita's are worse for carbs and total calories, the wotsits worse for saturated fat and salt.

Have you tried Walkers Baked? My OH has a bag for lunch everyday and I sometime have 1/2 a pack if I'm craving crisps.

98 calories a pack; 18.5g carbs; 1.6g sugars; fat 2.0g; sat fat 0.3g; salt 0.38g (based on ready salted, but the other flavours are pretty similar)

I haven't had any crisps since July - just fancied a pack today but only because I walked down the crisp aisle...🙄

As I was out walking, I happened to meet
Someone casually eating some crisps in the street.
Now, that?s not remarkable, I hear you all say,
For it?s something we witness almost every day!
Well, that may be true, but I think you may find
Diabetes brings thoughts of a quite different kind.
The thoughts may be angry: how dare she do that!
Just stuffing her face at the drop of a hat!
The thoughts may be jealous: I wish it was me,
Enjoying those crisps so entirely carefree!
Or, maybe some sadness: I remember the time
When I would eat crisps, oh the taste was sublime!
Now that one simple act that the girl took for granted,
For me, is a sin that must now be recanted.
The carbs in the crisps would send my blood sugar high ?
It?s hard to resist, but I really must try!
But once in a while, I may admit defeat,
And casually consume some crisps in the street!

:D

I haven't tried the new ones but have had the older ones a few times. Not bad but no better as a snack than a bag of crisps. It's the salt content of these snacks that put me off more than the carb and calorie content (BP and kidneys). I do have the ocassional bag of crisps etc but not very often. XXXXX

I have Pom Bears when I need a crisp fix. At 97 cals a bag, I have just half a bag and that really does the trick. I seal the bag and have the rest another day, I think I have had a treat without too much damage.
