I can't forget today as it's the same day my father died.

But how far have I come in this short time. My health and health awareness is much better, as is my health education, courses such as dafne and this very website have helped me with that.

But most of all I have new friends, people I would not have met or spoken to if it wasn't for my diabetes. Yes that's you lot.

In a very strange way, It could be one of the best things that has happened to me.:D

Happy Dia-versary Paul 🙂 You bring a lot of laughter to this forum, you have me in stitches every time you try to defend your party, so thank you and long may it last! 😉 Seriously though, you have a very positive influence on people so I'm very pleased to know you 🙂

We moved to winson green when I was 6 months old (tuder street) then to erdington when i was 4.

My mom was an auxillary(sp) at dudley road hospital.

What a coincidence - I'll have to find out what street we lived on..I think we moved out when I was about 3 years of age; moved to Warstock by Yardley Wood.

Happy belated Diaversary from me too!!🙂

Sorry Paul, I forgot to say how difficult a day it must be for you, as your father died the same day. Can't imagine what it must have been like for you on that day :(

To be honest my memory of it is kinda third party, when I look back it's like it was somebody else. Maybe it's some sort of mental defense system I have going.

I remember being up all night on the same ward as my father, he died at 4 am I was sitting in front of a DSN at 9 am being taught how to inject. It's a good job Jeanette was taking it all in I would have been lost.

Thank you everybody, I would be lost without you lot too.😉

Happy belated Diaversary Paul, I'm sure your father would be very proud 🙂 x
