Are clementines a no-no; had one today and tested myself an hour later and reading was 9.3 😱 Going to walk it off...

Apart from cherries and strawberries are there any other low GI fruits.

Amanda x🙂

All berries are low GI to greater or lesser extent.

Any juicy fruit may apparently raise blood glucose, but actually just leave juice on fingers.

Better to test after 2 hours, as you'd probably be within limits by then. Was the clementine part of a meal?

Enjoy your walk!

Thank you for feedback - it was a snack this afternoon; been to training all day and I don't usually have so much bread; had a ham sandwich with rocket/watercress/spinach (no spread) and a couple of spring onions. About an hour later I had the clementine during the afternoon break. (had toast for breakfast...)

For a snack during the morning break I had a couple of gluten free oatcakes and a handful of walnuts.

I don't normally snack but I thought it better than my stomach gurgling....:D

Walk was good now going on the treadmill for 30mins - evening class has been cancelled.....😡

I'm sure you will have done, but did you wash your hands before testing after the clementine? I've made that mistake before after citrus fruit and got a very scary reading before realising what the problem might have been 😱
