Hey all,

I am on the frio packs website the now as i want to order one or two packs to take with me on my holiday but i have no idea which one to take.

Any advice on what one(s) to choose???

ta.

i have one that fits my two pens in and its all i have ever needed. i keep all my other stuff in the fridge or the cupboard (even when away) 🙂

I have the dual pen one and two of the large (I think it would take four or so pens..) that said one is brand new, a spare.

I keep my spare insulin etc in there, some places I've stayed in don't have fridges, so best to be prepared.

Certainly the smaller one for the two pens for when you're out and if you know there is a fridge then you probably can get away with that, unless there is lots of traveling to/from where you're staying and the airport.

i think i will go for a duo one and a large one.

ta 🙂

so the duo and large packs will do mee?

or will i need to take a bigger cool bag and ice packs aswell lol ??

just double checking 🙂

Hi can you let me know how you get on with them , im thinking of buying one

I got a duo and a large, did me fine, can fit loads in, pens or cartridges.

Don't forget to take loads of testing strips, you may need to test more than usual, I did.

Do you need a bigger cool bag or ice packs? Probably not, depends on where you're going how long for.

Enjoy your break.

I just have the duo one which fits 2 pens in, I keep the spare insulin either in the fridge or back of the cupboard. i don't take any ice packs or anything.

Had to dig out my frio today as I'm starting to pack for holiday :D

Sounds nice. If you don't mind me asking, where are you off to?

No, no ice packs or the like, just the Frios, they really are that good!

Hey all,

I have received my duo frio packs and my large frio pack, yay ! lol

I am reading the little booklet and it says if I have digital/metal frame pens then I will need a black waterproof rip stop nylon liner. I use the silver/grey novorapid pen and the disposable grey/purple lantus pen. Will I need a liner for these pens??

ta.

for the novorapid pens i think you do as they are metal. dont think so for the lantus pens as they are plastic :D

what is this liner thing? I don't have one and use the novorapid metal pens?

its like a little bag thing you put your pen in first (its waterproof to stop it getting damaged) and it is sealed. never used them myself but do remember it saying so in the booklet.

No, the pens are aluminium or plastic - they won't rust.

But if put a box of insulin in, the box will absorb the moisture.

The waterproof case is only say if yuu wanted to put your meter in there OR your test strips as they need to be kept dry, but temperature isn't so critical for test strips.

lol well i always did wonder why mine had never rusted lol

I just use sandwich bags! Keeps damp off the insulin boxes and you dont 'lose' them in the pack!🙂Bev
