Even following washing my hands, when I test I can get up to 0.5 of a difference from the right hand to the left. Weird!

I've only ever tested on my left hand but I have noticed a difference on different fingers. Not as much as .5 though, I don't think. I put it down to my meters error margin. Is it always higher on the same hand? XXXXX

yes, the right hand is always higher

It's pretty normal to get this slight difference..

It's to do with blood flow to and from the heart..

sometimes i will get a reading of 5 on one hand....and 8 on the other!!! very annoying as i dont know which one to go with reguarding injecting my insulin 😡

do you think it could be down to some sugar etc on one of your hands? or do you wash both before hand? That is quite a difference and I can see how that would make trying to inject a total nightmare!!

I would take another reading form the 5 hand in this situation and use that........

the easiest way to avoid all this is to test one hand and use that result, unless you have a logical reason for needing to retest..........

not an exact science unfortunately.........

Might be barking up the wrong tree, but which is your dominant hand, the one you use most and do things like writinfg with? Not sure if it will make a difference or not but is a consideration.
