Why am I not surprised by that!!!!! I wished I had educated my 2 1/2 yr old grandaughter, Grace, and then maybe, just maybe, her pancreas wouldn't of stopped working and she wouldn't of been on the HDU with tubes, lines and an oxygen mask on her little face. There are far two many Indians on/in the Media and not enough (proper) cheifs.

A truthful programme needs to be made about the Types of Diabetes, why people get Diabetes, how it affects us, why it affects us, adult or child etc. Then they can seriously educate the general public about this awful condition that blights so many lives and families who care for a child or who is an adolescent/adult carer. A truthful programme needs to get out there, any ideas on how this could be done? It could be BBC1, BBC2 Channel 4 or ITV. It really needs to happen NOW. Sheena

(I must just say, even though I take MY Diabetes in my stride, my attitude has always been, I got it, I live with it, and I get on with it, but many other people find it so very hard and difficult to cope with) X

I agree we need an hour-long programme about 'Diabetes - the FACTS'...and then an ongoing campaign of 'Did you Know.....' with various information

That's what i think anyway.

People need to understand the difference between T1 and T2, and even then, the differences between them.

It's about time we educated this nation!!!

and that there isn't just type 1 and 2 ! And that adults can get type 1 haha, theres enough about kids getting type 2 but not adults getting type 1!

I'm surprised Ch4 hasn't taken it up yet...

exactly...T1.5 which even I as a T1 diabetic, never even knew existed until this forum!!

I hope someone will manage to get something done 🙂

The same lady (Ruth Langsford) was on Radio 5 Live this afternoon and did this time refer to Type 2 when talking about the Tesco Diets.

I CALL ITV MAKE THE COMPLAINT AND I ALSO SENT AN EMAIL

I didnt see the offending show, but what makes it more unbelivable is she(Ruth) presents this morning and one of her colleugeas Philip Schofield's dad is a diabetic

Wasn't Eamonn Holmes (her husband and co-presenter) involved in a Type2 campaign also?
