I think this is a great idea, I took part in something similar a few years ago 🙂

The rules are simple:
1) Submit your address to Lee Ann at The Butter Compartment dot com
2) She will give you the address of another participant
3) Make a postcard using the blue circle and all the creativity you can fit on a 3.5" x 5" piece of card stock. Complete the short diabetes meme on the back of the postcard (I'll post that soon!)
4) Send the postcard to your assigned recipient
5) Get a homemade postcard in the mail

Looks good and it is nice to know we are not alone.

Sounds great and fun too, my only concern is giving my name & address to someone I don't know.

Actually, you give it to two people. The person who is allocated your name and Lee Ann.

It's a bit of a trust issue. Lee Ann says that she won't do anything nefarious with the address data she collects, but, being in the US (New Jersey to be precise based on her whois record) I can't throw the data protection act at her if she does.

But fundamentally I do actually like the idea. It's a shame that my artistic ability is probably not all that wonderful!

I did something similar a few years ago and gave my name and address to about 30 people at the time - it was great getting postcards from (mostly) the US and I think they appreciated getting ones from England too 🙂 I never had any issues with anyone using the information.

Just finished mine this evening, managed not to glue my fingers together too which was also a bonus :D
