Hi, I realise that the warning signs were there for me all along. My perceptions were wrong. I had gone on tablets for hypertension. I had sleep apnoea, and only when I fell on a bus in broad daylight. I went on the sleepstudy program and got (reluctantly) a CPAP machine, then my weight(!)
Anyway, I was informed about a 300 or 600 calorie diet that was meant to reverse it - (Hmmmm). A positive note - I have started walking again, and I enjoy it. My prior attitude was bus or tube everywhere and least amount of walking. At least the D has kickstarted me to become more active again. If it wasn't such a serious and potentially life-threatening illness, I would not have been that pro-active. Must become more pro-active as oppossed to re-active...I really enjoy these little rants....very theraputic

As I thought - that 600 calorie diet for SIX WEEKS and prefably with a Doctors Supervision.... I already have my views on the Gastric....Having spoken to some people I know who had it, for the rest of your dinner plate will resemble a large saucer. One lady had it done in Prague, she said she had a brief counselling session afterwards. She said she needed more sessions in her few to adjust to the new lifestlye.......

Talking out your thoughts is a good way of reforming your ideas Rustee.

Well done for going through the process and I hope you're able to maintain your new positive attitude. 90% of it is in the mind. Once you're determined and realistic, you can acheive what's needed.🙂
