Everything I read says alcohol lowers blood sugar levels but whenever I test myself after a drink it's between 8 and 11 (usually it's below 7). I find the lack of information about the sugar content of alcoholic drinks scandalous - when I first got diagnosed I was still drinking cider, but it had a really terrible effect on me so I stopped and have stuck to beer and am ok - but how can the breweries get away with not sticking the nutritional info on the cans? Does anyone have a link to any websites which show they typical sugar content of alcoholic drinks?
