I am feeling the need to vent about my morning blood sugar levels. I am just so fed up of waking with too high levels. I just start the day feeling thirsty, tired and plain grouchy.
My readings have been, 16.7, 14.8, 19.4, 16.0, 11.2, 15.9, 14.9, 15.1
This is just rubbish. 3 of these I know have been caused by hypos over night where I have woken up. I am not sure if on other occasions I have not woken. I am on split doses of levemir. I have 8 units in the morning and I was on 1.5 in the evening. I tried not having any last night, I did not hypo but still woke with high levels.
I don't know what to do, the only solution I can think of is going back to waking at about 5:30 and having a shot of humalog to counteract the dreaded DP.
My last hba1c was 8.4 which I know is not awful, but this really does not reflect at all how all over the place my control is.
Sorry for the whinge, I try not to go on the D too much in real life as everyone would be sick to the back teeth of me, but sometimes I need to just say how c**p it is.
