hi everyone. sorry not been on the board for ages. went away on holiday and got rushed into a hospital there with abdominal pain. turned out to be gallstones! came home and three days later rushed back to hospital again.

I'm home now... but weak and fed-up 😱 I'm waiting for an MRI scan and then possibly an op to remove my gallbladder as it is full of the nasty stones!!

on a more positive side..... my diabetes BG readings have been amazing!! down to between 5 and 7 first thing in the morning!!! and never rising above 9. crazy eh?

my diet? soup, yogurt and icecream in the hospital after they starved me for days. at home I have added fruit (berries and pineapple) and a green soup recipe I found on the internet specially for gallstone sufferers... and beetroot as it is supposed to be good also.

I've missed you all xXx

Glad to see you back with us and sorry about the gallstones. A friend of mine had hers 'vibrated' to dust and passed them that way. If you're lucky maybe that will be a possibility for you as well.

Glad to hear from you again!

Sorry about your gallstones. Sounds nasty :( But great to hear your BGs have been behaving in spite of everything!

So pleased to hear from you, but very sorry to hear about all you have been through :( I hope that all goes well with the scan and any possible treatment, at least you can console yourself (a little!) with the fact that your levels have been so good 🙂

Keep us updated, I missed you too! 🙂

So sorry to hear about the gallstones, it sounds awful :( Hope they get it sorted one way or another soon.

Welcome back!

The don't do that much any more as the resultant gravel is made of strong irritants and can have serious effects on ones innards. Removal is best. Had mine out several years ago, and things have been far better since. The op wasn't too bad, really: far less painful than the horrors of a full blown gallstone attack! (Got dragged off to hospital and ended up on a drip for very strong antibiotics and a liquid diet for a week with mine!)

macast, I'm pleased that they are going to do something about yours and wish you all the luck for a speedy solution and a happy outcome. It can't be easy keeping those BG's in line with this as well.

Hi M nice to see you back posting sorry to hear about your gallstone troubles my mate had to have hers out last year she was in agony x

Welcome back and I hope it is not too long before they can be sorted.

Glad you're back, but sorry about the gallstones. My mum was in horendous pain when she had them. She had them removed and some of them were nasty sharp pointy things. I'm sure the op when you have it will go well and bring a lot of relief.
