Hi all,
Just thought i would share with you what we learnt yesterday! Alex had a salad for evening meal which consisted of : boiled egg, cocktail sausage, pepperoni, ham, beetroot, lettuce, peppers, lettuce, scotch egg. He only had very small amounts of the scotch egg and the sausage, so i didnt count them as any carbs, - as he had just been on the tramolene for 1 hour. He then had a chocolate yoghurt - so we just calculated for the yoghurt. After eating we checked his levels 1 hour later - and he was 22!!!!!!
So, we have realised that we probably should have given him his NR AFTER the meal rather than before! When i think about it now it makes sense as he was eating his salad for 20 minutes - so the NR didnt have much to work on - then the pudding hit later - hence the rise! You probably all know this already - diabetes certainly keeps you on your toes doesnt it?🙂Bev
