Hi everyone,

I WAS DIGNOSED WITH type 2 diabetes in April 2008 it was a shock to me as last year I was just told I had Osterarthritis in both hips now 2009 it is spreading all over body, my blood readings have been up and down 16.00 has been the highest and 3.0 lowest, I just got a new meter the aviva nano from accu-check , trying to down load the smartpix . I have to find the profile button and fill it in.

thank you all for the welcome, I was down at my local health centre for the diabetic clinic and the gp asked if I would come down to get my blood monitoed ( not too good at times at spelling:D) I said no I will do it at home as getting down is a problem. I have a mobility scooter but it is very slow :D

I was telling her that my head is like a vice at times and my heart feels as if it is ready to jump out o my chest. she said everything is ok with blood pressure but my cholestral is 4.6 and for diabetics it should be below 4 2.0 is good she said is this right she has put me on a tablet for it.

thats good cholestrol level and yeah what tablet are you on?
 
A lot of people when diagnosed with type 2 are prescribed statins - I take them as well. I was told it protects your heart - helps keep cholesterol low.
 
up top there ^^ left corner where it says user CP options will come up it will say edit profile click on that and it opens your profile for you to add or take away any info
