I reckon my neuropathy has got worse, when i go in the bath the water can be scolding on my feet and i dont feel it,soon as i put my finger in the scolding water of any other part of me it makes me jump as it would normally,my control has been great for about 2 months now i thought by feet would of got better not worse :(..Doctor checked them at my check and i could feel none of her gadget things either...

Hi Steffie - I can't help with your feet as such - but have you thought of getting those thermometers they make that you can put in the bath. They are really designed so that you don't make the water too hot for babies - but it might be useful to ensure the water is not too hot for you. I don't want you scalding your feet.

Oh right can i get them in any particluar shop sounds ideal

Hope your feet improve. I use to suffer with a bit of numbness when i was first diagnosed but no problems now so hopefully you may see an improvement in the next few months

I can ask if you like - both my little nephews have them one has a flower the other a turtle.

I would guess all baby shops would have them. Just had a look on Amazon and they have some in their baby shop. Look for water thermometers.

Hi Steffie. My feet got a lot worse within a couple of months of getting better control when I started Byetta. I was quite alarmed. However I was told that often it gets worse to begin with as the nerve endings start repairing. I was a little unbelieving about that but since christmas mine have improved no end and I have very little numbness or pins and needles.
Be careful with your bathwater and get the thermometers folk have mentioned or do it the old fashioned way and stick your elbow in or your hand before you plunge your tootsies in!

look lovely too, floats on the water!! keep your toosies safe.

Assuming you don't have neuropathy in your elbow, how about the old method of testing baby bath water temperature?

a bath temperture thingy for the bath would be a great idea, like you steff i dont know if the water is to hot for my feet until the rest of my body is in the bath then realise that its scalding hot, i used to use a hot water bottle at my feet in bed but dont anymore.

yeah im using the hot water bottle on my feet as of yesterday x 2 pairs of socks just aint kickin it

i had to stop using the hot water bottle as one night my feet were freezing an i kept my feet on it not realising that i was acually burning them, only realised when my ankle got burned were i have feeling. but with the socks on you should be ok, i just cant stand socks on in bed.
