"Just wondered if others had habbits/routines they do or like to stick to
1) i watch tv by looking over the top of my glasses
2) i have a morning routine of waking up at 5am, having with assistants a shower wash my hair first. Then I got back to bed to chill out until 7am and then do my hair and makeup, At 7am my alarm goes off and I pack my bag for the day( tablet, phone, charger, marmite, diary, headphones and vit D tablets). Staff then staff take my blood sugar. I have my breakfast marmite on 2 wholemeal toast with a mug of full strength coffee. God help anyone who trys to speak or interact with me before this. I'm a well grumpy cow till I have had breakfast. Then I come online and post. God help anyone who tries to change/interupt this routine i fall to pieces if it doesn't go as per normal
3) i have a habit of taking off my glasses to eat my breakfast don't know why
4) i take my morning meds (10 tablets) in a certain order)
5) i always make a note of my food, carb intake and my Bg levels, its a good habbit
Do you peeps have any set routines or habits you would like to. Share?

I struggle with making things a habit - I usually get distracted.
About the only habits I have are
- cleaning my teeth as soon as I get up
- cleaning my teeth just before bed
- test BG after my morning shower
- test BG before bed

My breakfast varies
My exercise regime varies
I start work around 8:30 because I have to not through habit.
I need glasses to drive but only remember because I keep the glasses case next to the gear stick so I knock it when I change gear.
I eat around 8pm each evening but only because I want to be sure I have no insulin on board when I go to bed ... which is no earlier than 11:30 but may be later.
And, as I am realising at the moment, I don't habitually put my slippers somewhere so I currently don't know where they are.

I only really have a routine in the mornings and that’s not through choice, it’s just so I can get myself and the children out the door for work/school in time! I’m a dreadful daydreamer so every morning I have a routine of doing things in the same order and at the same times simply so I’m not late.

Have routine work days
Drag my grumpy self out of bed 6.20, not very sociable in the morning, dog doesn’t even get up with me
Get breakfast ready and flask for work
Take insulin and play a game on iPad till time to eat
Then washed dressed and out door 7.45 for work, just about ready for human company
Weekend would love a long lie but bramble the westie, has decided she needs to pee at 5.45 Friday to Sunday, bearing in mind she’s never up at 7.45 when am working

I avoid routine as much as I can. I do have some where essential but intentionally adding routine just makes me more stressed when the routine is disrupted

I didn't think I had a routine but I must do otherwise I wouldn't get so stressed on days where something unusual happens eg a medical appointment

Things that usually happen in the same order every day are

Cup of tea in bed
Get up, wash, test BG
Another cup of tea
Eat
Check whether daughter wants an alarm call in the morning

Everything else is variable although I usually play a simple game on my tablet to unwind (current favourite is unravelling knitting) with a cuppa before bed.

Humans by nature are creatures of habit and I have hundreds!

I'm the sort of person that compartmentalises things, therefore I need routine. I'm not fanatical about it and haven't quite gone down the OCD road yet. I also like a good list!

Doing things in order is my way of making sure I don't forget stuff, like when I'm packing and hitching up the caravan. You should have seen me when I had the horses - I even mucked out and put rug straps on in a particular order!

I’m a list maker! And when I can’t have a written list I have a routine, so I don’t forget things. I was just about to comment about my pony, then read your post. Yes! I do things in the same order so I don’t forget to do them, and he picks up on this, he offers me his hooves in the right order for picking out! Yesterday I left his head collar on when I turned him out, I normally take it off so he doesn’t lose it in the field, but they’d switched all the electric fencing around yesterday and moved (hidden!) the opening bit in the tapes, so by the time I'd sought help from the yard owner, and we’d stopped to pull up some ragwort, I was completely out of routine, and realised half way back to the yard that I'd left him in his headcollar.
