Smartwatch for Freestyle Libre2

Hi,
My mum's birthday is coming up soon and she's asked for a smart watch so she can see her blood sugar results from her freestyle libre2 on it. She currently uses her samsung phone to look at the results and it has made a big improvement to her blood sugar control.
Reading the instructions it seems that apple watches, fitbits and samsung watches are compatible.
I just wanted to check people's experiences - does anyone have a smart watch that they use with the freestyle 2, are you able to use it if you leave your phone at home (this is a realtively regular occurance ;-)).
I'd appreciate people's experiences, good and bad!
Thank you!

Hi @TomgaR - most smartwatches can display BG Readings but it has to be a watch that you are able to download apps onto it (the really cheap ones do not) - Libre does not work directly with a watch so she will need to have her phone with her I'm afraid - I have a (very cheap) Galaxy Watch 4 and using a combination of a couple of other apps (Juggluco & ClucoDataHandler) I get the readings on my watch with a trend arrow as well

The best place to find out all of the options (depending on watch/apps etc) is the "Libre Geeks" Facebook page - there are multiple options on there

Might be worth finding out what else she wants to do with the watch and how keen she is to charge the battery, which will then push towards an Android (or potentially Apple) smartwatch with potentially all the bells and whistles (checking email on your wrist, etc. 😉) vs a fitness watch (like one of the Garmins) with big multi-day battery life and more of a focus on health stats (though one can still see notifications on e.g. a Garmin watch, just not expect to respond with anything more than a pre-defined/canned response)

Battery on my iwatch is rubbish, some galaxy are good and my husband has a samsung that lasts weeks.

Apple watches aren't compatible with Samsung phones, so using an Apple Watch would involve changing phones too.
