Libre 2 plus - error messages

Hi, Just applied a new libre 2 plus sensor ( 1st one as was on libre 2 before) but getting g constant error messages, either signal loss or try again in 10 minutes, I've restarted the sensor twice, am I doing something wrong ? I rang abbot and they are replacing the sensor but now wondering if it's because I've pit it on the fleshy part on the back of my arm.
This one did hurt when I put it on, never has before.
Thanks

Hi @NicF, I had that a little while back with a new Libre 2 plus sensor. I reported the issue to Abbott via their online form and they sent me a replacement and asked me to return the malfunctioning one for them to have a look at.

Hi @JimmyBlue , thanks for that - thought it was just me !

Definitely sounds like a dodgy sensor (I've had a fair few do that recently) @NicF - definitely worth reporting and getting a replacement sent out - and I don't bother phoning them - use the online form

Now had my 2nd consecutive sensor error but Abbott have been great and have replaced them both, I was starting to think it was me !

Look like the plus ones are just as unreliable as the regular 2s. Shame, I had vague hopes that they might be more reliable.

Touch wood I have not had a failed sensor yet in seven months of using them. The only one that didn't last the full time was the one I knocked off while I was reaching into the water butt to tighten the tap.

I think many Libre users switch off the “Loss of signal” alarm, which seems to reduce alarm fatigue.

Hope your next sensors run much more smoothly for you! Glad Abbott are replacing them.

I find Libre (including the original Libre, Libre 2 and Libre 2+) very reliable, but I use the reader rather than the phone app, which negates any issues with people's various phones which might be the problem and OS updates which sometimes put a spanner in the works for the app.

Significant and speedy variation in BG levels will also cause the Error message...Try again in 10 mins, but I follow a low carb way of eating so that very rarely happens for me either unless I have gone off piste with my diet.

They always say that, nonsense. Latest iOS works fine for thousands of us.

The reader is great in my opinion. So reliable and easy to use and simple and small so it easily fits in pockets. I have used a reader from the start with the original Libre and then Libre 2 although I did try the phone app when it became full CGM but much happier going back to using the reader for it's reliability and simplicity.
