Mine is August and it's a "special" one (60) but I haven't planned the menu yet!Hooray, the birthday carb fest is looking good.
I normally ask for roast lamb, it's my favourite and we don't often have it because it's so expensive! As for dessert, I'll have to think about that one!Ooh, get planning...
I must learn to read properly first thing in the morning.Asda Habareo peanuts are my chilli-peanut of choice… They lack the (carby) crispy coating, so they are only regular-peanut-carbiness
Pretty nice too!
I'm still waiting for the chocolate mousse I asked my daughter to make last year for my birthday.I normally ask for roast lamb, it's my favourite and we don't often have it because it's so expensive! As for dessert, I'll have to think about that one!
Thank you.Looking at the hBA1C figures in your signature Sharron, I would say you have done phenomenally well over 6 years. So, even if your willpower may seem to be lacking at times, it still seems to be good enough to give you excellent control of your diabetes. So you should give yourself a very large pat on the back, and not beat yourself up too much over slight, occasional lapses!
Aldi's high protein chocolate mousse isn't bad, 4.9g carb per 100g.I'm still waiting for the chocolate mousse I asked my daughter to make last year for my birthday.
I wasn't just being demanding, she copied my handwritten recipe notebook when she went to uni and asked me what she should try first so I suggested the mousse. Perhaps in light of my recent diagnosis it's a blessing in disguise that she's such a procrastinator. Not so good for her studies of course!
Just finished one for dessert this evening. YummyAldi's high protein chocolate mousse isn't bad, 4.9g carb per 100g.
I can only manage half of the pot at a time. I tried the caramel one but didn't like that one. I think there is a lemon one but they don't often have it.Just finished one for dessert this evening. Yummy![]()

I read that as Harebo peanuts which would definitely lack the crispy coating but I cannot imagine being "pretty nice". 😱
