Recent T1 diagnosis, does quiet a bit of sport, lost 7 or so kg before diagnosis which I'm trying to get back on and staying active for my (and my wife's) sanity*.
So I'm back on carbs (after mistakenly cutting them at diagnosis) to fuel activity and try and get muscle and power back, I also used to eat a lot before I found out (which I may have to cut back on to aquire some portion control.)
For big meals with higher carb quantity My dietition mentioned splitting my bolus, I see others here have mentioned it too. Any advice, timings and ratios etc?
I'm assuming the idea is to delay/widen the insulin spike to time it with the longer BG spike of a big carb meal?
