More good news!

Hi, well I hope you all had a good BH weekend!
I have some more good news. I have been invited a one day carb counting course at a nearby hospital (not the one I usually go to) this Wednesday 7th May. The other news is, my care nurse has agreed to prescribe me the Decom one plus, to start asap! So pleased, this will really benefit me in my new school minibus driver job. It will allow me to set a higher setting for an onset of any hypo, giving me more time to deal with it, whilst driving. That's the really great advantage, perfect for my new job. I wonder if anyone has had the same experience with Dexcom one plus?
Please let me know. Thanks!

Great news indeed @Busdriver60 - no experience of Dexcom One+ but any CGM is a great help 🙂

Great news @Busdriver60 . It's nice to hear that things are going your way after last year.

Hi @Busdriver60 that's wonderful news 🙂. I don't have a Dexcom, but certainly wouldn't want to be without my Libre 2 CGM, so useful!

Hi all, just to update that my husband has just been let go (not his fault at all). He's currently looking for bus driving job.

Oh NO, he was so looking forward to getting back to a driving job. Is there any appeal against their decision if he really wants that job.

No appeal, unfortunately. The school he worked for (on behalf of his employer) didn't like him at all. His boss was feeling frustrated as she can't understand the school's decision and told my husband that it's not his fault at all.

Really disappointed to hear this, so Paul must be absolutely gutted, especially when he was so excited about it! Hopefully another better driving job is around the corner for him.

Such a shame. I hope he finds another job soon. So sorry it didn't work out for him.:(
