CT scan ?

Hi @jtg1964 hope you get on well with your Libra

hopefully you get the correct diagnosis as to your type and best treatment

may I but in on your thread, and say
please when you speak to your DSN tell them of your worries

it was the fact that I was dropping low myself (in the night that finally my DSN picked up that I would benefit from CGM) and was then successful in getting Libra prescribed
and on my repeat prescription
following my GP initially being un-successful in obtaining funding from the ICB
when I first spoke to my GP regarding this
My ICB apparently do not give Libras...im a nurse so going to put a case forward. Everywhere else does apart from mine . Thank you.

One thing I would advise is,
If whilst you gave been wearing a trial or any self founded sensor
when you get to speak to the DSN GP or a Diabetic Consultant regarding the matter,
especially if you have had instances of the Libra showing your levels have dropped to as the Libra sees it hypo
ensure you tell them, especially if you are concerned regarding this
which I'm you might be

FYI: if you wernt aware
by accessing LibraView (online) you will can see the history since you started wearing the sensor, hope you get sorted

Had my results...CLEAR. Hes doing blood tests to confirm type 1 diabetes. MRI scan as a nodule on my liver...not concerned but said to have one to rule out. Suggested I increase insulin to the evening as it's my only double figure reading.
Libre 2 isn't available in my area. Got a 2 week free one I'm using.
Are they any good...not sure on accuracy?
All good...thank you and thank you all for your support ❤️

Libre2 is being phased out in favour of Libre 2+, but these should be available to pretty-much all T1s in the UK as I understand it, and can be prescribed in primary care (no consultant approval needed). The funding for them is ring-fenced after some work Partha Kar did to remove the postcode lottery of local inequalities that was emerging.

Really? I thought everywhere in England did, now?
Apparently not Shropshire/Stoke ICB...only one that doesn't. My Consultant said if we get the diffinative test to say I've type 1 we can put a case forward. I can drive for 2 hrs to see a patient be there from 1 to 3 hrs then drive back and write a report up to submit that day so checking my bloods is difficult. Fingers crossed.

I wonder if that's just because your type hasn't been confirmed, and should you be confirmed as Type 1 then there won't be any question? We'll see, I guess. I thought everywhere in NHS England (or what used to be NHS England, I guess) had agreed to follow the NICE guidelines which say to offer a CGM to everyone with Type 1.

Yes Bruce that was my understanding. If its type 1 I imagine I will get one.
