Brexit : medicine shortages

So people are so frustrated by Brexit being a disaster that they're going to vote for the main cheerleader? Doesn't make sense to me. And that's without taking into account the hypocrisy and fascism.
No, thats not what I meant, I meant peoples frustration with the fact that Brexit has never actually been done effectively.
Didn't take long for insults to start being hurled, eg: "Hypocricy and Fascism", what because people disagree with you?
I'm out..... 🙄

And that's why I explained why I thought the 'not done effectively' argument doesn't stand up. If you'd like to explain further why I'm wrong, I'd love to see it.

As for the "They're not really fascists, they just disagree with you" argument, they're doing Nazi salutes.

One of my things is selling handmade linocut prints made from my late wife’s lovely designs. Very popular, and I’d send to countrues across Europe frequently.

Under new regulations I need an official representative within the EU to complete paperwork for product safety, traceability etc. I cannot be that person, because we aren’t in the EU. The cost of employing such a person within the EU is prohibitive.

So I can no longer sell to European countries. Or even Northern Ireland, where those regulations also apply.

Just one small example of how Brexit has had measurable negative impacts on small businesses.
Morning and have no wish to get involved in any “ political” arguments as know how divisive this issue can still be but thing egs like Mike ‘s and others illustrate some of the consequences.
My example reflects a different aspect rather than from a business side.
When I was Training at HO for my current job I shared an office in Berkshire with a lovely Polish woman on a contract. It was at the time of the Brexit vote and she was having an animated conversation with her other half and was in tears.
I asked her what had upset her and she said why did the British not like her and her friends as they had voted to throw them out. I tried to explain that the Brexit Vote was not for some about a personal desire to remove “ people who had moved here from abroad who were making a contribution to the U.K.” but a genuine concern over levels of immigration and the pressure it put on local and national services etc.
She said she felt unwanted and soon decided to back to Poland after originally planning to make her life here.
I know Brexit is done and dusted and we have moved on but do think it is interesting how as individuals we may see have different experiences of hiw we view it or how it effects us.

Ultra-low medicines pricing is driving medicines shortages and costing more in the long run, the Company Chemists’ Association (CCA) has warned.

In a recent report it suggested that the decision by the government to set ultra-low drug tariff prices was causing some manufacturers to withdraw from the UK market, with a knock-on effect on medicine availability and pricing.

The CCA said that ‘without action, the vicious cycle of shortages will continue, leading to more and more patients being affected’.

It called for the government to take ‘immediate action’ by spending more on ‘competitive pricing’ for medicines, ‘to make the UK market more attractive for global manufacturers and suppliers’.
