There's also a system (perhaps a few) that you can use for repeat prescriptions with your GP and a pharmacy. They're not uniform across a country and they're liable to change (I used to use the NHS app and used to be able to have the pharmacy request things but they seem to have stopped supporting both of those).It can be so frustrating in the early days. I think many surgeries tend to leave it a while before giving more meds at a time because it can take time until you are sure that a particular med suits the person. No point in having a dozen boxes you’ll never use that the pharmacy can’t take back!
But things are usually easier after a couple of months and you understand how the system works and how long it's likely to need. (At least until they change it again.)
