It’s my 45th birthday and due to my pesky diabetes, I’m not having any birthday cake.

But what kind of birthday would it be without a little indulgence? I may be on a strict diet, but I shall be going over my calorie allowance today as a birthday treat.

Readers, I have got myself half a rotisserie chicken from Asda.

Don’t tell me I don’t know how to treat myself on my birthday!

(12.2lbs down since 18th Nov).

My niece had a cheese wedding cake, four tiers of different cheeses. Enjoy your chicken.

Love chicken, you enjoy it.....😉

I hope you've had a lovely birthday and enjoyed your chicken! 🙂

@Katetype2 happy birthday. It is my birthday today too. I have eaten a little badly over the last few days. I went to see my sister yesterday and she asked me to bring fish and chips which I did and they were delicious. However I just had an avocado for supper. Today I met my best friends who drove up from London for a pub lunch. I had seabass with parmentier potatoes and extra veg. It was my first birthday as a diabetic. There was a pudding of pannacotta and sorbet which I would have loved but I had coffee! I bought my friends and my sister pieces of tarta de santiaga made at my local deli so although apart we could all have a piece tonight. It is a flourless cake made with almonds.
Tomorrow I will be good ( probably)
