Not sure what 'hacks' are but a good moisturiser like the Neutrogena ones, cracked heel cream Boots or something like Hydromol.

Flexitol was a foot cream multiple members used to recommend, though I confess I’ve never actually tried it.

For very dry / splitting hands I use O’Keeffe’s green tubs (can’t remember the exact name). I think they do a blue version for feet.

Your feet are something you need to take care of with good moisturising and nail care as if diabetic your feet are at risk of being slow to heal especially if your blood glucose is high.
If you are unsure then get your diabetic nurse to do a foot check.

I've been using "Gehwol Med-Salve" for years and not had cracked heels ever since

It may be a postcode thing - I still get Flexitol on prescription. I find it very good. Worth asking your surgery nurse or GP.
