I'd like to help out (mainly for new T1 diagnosed as I'm only 2yrs in) but not sure I can commit to every day...
That's great @mashedupmatt. I'd welcome an application from you (see first post in this thread for details). No need to commit to volunteering with us everyday. :starstruck:

Just trying to bribe a couple of people to give me a good reference (only joking!) and I'm afraid my passport has expired so the ID bit won't be quick (I'll have to do the Post Office thing) - I do have a valid enhanced DBS Check through the hockey club I'm an umpire for, but I'm guessing that can't be ported?

Thanks @mashedupmatt, I will take a look at your application and proceed from there. We'd carry out our own DBS checks and not to worry re. passport; plenty of other documents can be used. Thanks again for your application.

Yes, how does one apply ? @Anna DUK

Sorted, thanks

I did the role of Host for a number of years.
I found that whatever time I was able to give was appreciated, and I was never expected to do more thatn I was able to offer. I was given plenty of support as well as training. I would encourage anyone interested to give it a go. @everydayupsanddowns and others are there to help.
