Just to introduce myself...
I've been type 1 since 1989 when I was diagnosed out of the blue at the age of 32. I was given a pump a couple of years ago and found that a real game changer; in the last few weeks I have been put onto Omnipod 5 with Libre 2 plus. A few teething problems but now seems to be going well as I get used to it. I am fairly active and cycle (sometimes long distances) and swim regularly. Like so many on this forum I suffer occasional bouts of depression but I have a supportive partner and try to use excercise and distraction to help me through.
Looking forward to joining in some of the discussions here.

Welcome to the forum @aflook

Great to hear you are finding your feet with the Omnipod/Libre2 combo. It can take a while to learn the ins and outs of a hybrid closed loop - and get to know how it interacts with your personal diabetes.

It should be a real help with your swimming and cycling. I’m assuming it must have some sort of exercise mode that slightly adjusts the loop’s behaviour?

Good to hear you have a supportive partner too. T1D in a household does tend to affect everyone there!

Good to hear that you now have access to the HcL with your pump. As you say just getting a pump was a game changer and then the addition of sensors made a big difference, and now looping!!!!! What a difference again. As @everydayupsanddowns it takes a bit of time to find tweaks to make the system work for us. I look forward to hearing how you progress.
