I work in Healthcare but having started working in a role that specialise in Diabetes. I never really knew anything about Diabetes before but have come to find it interesting. I'm really looking forward to gaining further learning about it.
Welcome to the forum. It's great that you want to learn more. Please feel free to browse the forums and ask questions.
One of the common issues I see here is out of date info in the nhs support services, so having healthcare people on board seems good to me. The other common issue I see is lack of information given to a patient.
Pointing patients to a support forum like this to speak to others with similar problems is a good thing to do 🙂

There is plenty of information on the forum and on the main DUK site with pointers to various links. It highlights very much the differences between individuals and the no one size fits all so people need to take control over the management of their condition. Sadly the NHS advise is still a bit behind for those who are Type 2 in that the power of diet can be greater than a medication regime for some people.
I found this link really useful and the whole ethos just made sense. https://lowcarbfreshwell.com/
Welcome to the forum @Fitchington
The forum is a great place for us living with diabetes and so good to have HCPs on here who want to learn about this. Fire away with any questions that come up and do encourage your patients to join. I know I have learnt more from others on here than anywhere else.
