Welcome to the forum @Jalopy

How long have you been living with diabetes?

Sorry to hear you are finding it difficult to find food choices that suit you and your diabetes. One of the biggest questions when trying to get to grips with your diabetes is often ‘what can I eat’ and while there are obvious things like cakes, biscuits, sweets and sugary drinks that you will want to cut out straight away, you might be surprised how much *all* carbohydrate affects your BG levels, including rice, pasta, potatoes, bread, pastry, grains, cereals and many fruits. That's not to say that you have to try to avoid those things entirely, but being mindful of portion sizes can be very helpful. One member here @Pattidevans (an ex hotelier and excellent cook) wrote a post suggesting some possible swaps and options for more blood-glucose friendly choices here: The A-Z of Vegetables

There are a variety of different meal plans that Diabetes UK have put together that might give you some ideas?
