Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi

I have been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes 14 days ago. Yesterday was my 14th day and I now take Metformin 500mgs 2x daily. 2 question, 1 is a foods effect stomach cramps? 2, what is a good recipe book and is there a list of good foods medium food and bad/not so good foods too eat.

It is likely the metformin that is causing your stomach issues, a common problem when people start on metformin or when they increase the dose. It can settle down and taking with a substantial but low carb meal will help.

The Caldesi cook books are good and Pinch of Nom or any low carb recipes on the internet.
